Frosty the Tomcat
June 29, 2007
Two of my kitty-loving clients recently rescued a stray in their neighborhood after seeing that it was injured. Frosty has been coming around their homes for quite a while, and they’ve kept him well fed! After rescuing him & taking him to the vet they discovered that he has FIV, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.
Frosty is currently being boarded as he can’t be around other cats that are not FIV positive. Could you foster or adopt him? He’ll need to be in a single cat home. Here is more information and pictures:
This neighborhood tomcat was rescued and tested positive for FIV. Other levels in his lab report were fine and his attitude is fantastic, so we are giving this kitty a huge second chance.
He will need to be strictly in-door only and either be the only cat or with other FIV positive kitties. FIV is not transmittable to other species. His rescuers have funded his vaccinations, neuter and dental cleaning, so he will have a fresh, healthy start in his new home.
In typical reformed-tomcat fashion, he is a lovable sweetheart. He will make someone a wonderful pet, if only he could be given the chance. He is being boarded so please respond quickly. (Contact me for contact information regarding Frosty)

Weimaraners
June 24, 2007
Wyatt & Brody are two of my walking dogs. We go several days a week and have a great time. Brody loves to stalk the squirrels in the neighborhood – it’s pretty darn cute! He gets into his hunting stance and will stay that way for our entire walk. Wyatt’s an absolute doll and loves kisses & having his butt scratched.
They are beautiful, gentle, well-behaved & totally funny. I walk them on a coupler – Brody is definitely stronger and will sometimes end up pulling Wyatt along with him. But they don’t pull me, which I totally appreciate!
The boys are both rescue dogs from the Weimaraner Rescue of North Texas. The rescue is full right now and in need of foster homes. If you, or anyone you know, has room to foster one of the wonderful Weimaraners at the rescue, please contact the organization.

Silly Schnauzers!
June 21, 2007
Here are Max & Maggie, the miniature schnauzers I spend time with. They have completely different personalities. Maggie is very energetic and “go get ‘em” and Max is more laid back and likes to take things slow. Maggie is absolutely fearless…well, I guess that’s where they are alike.
They are almost 7 months old and so much fun to spend time with. Maggie loves to play with the frisbee and Max likes to hunt for bugs and other edible (and sometimes not so edible) items in the yard. We have such a fantastic time together.

Otis & the Gang
June 19, 2007
This is the rest of Margaret’s family. There’s Otis, Mable, Venus, Brown and of course Margaret. They are all wonderful. Otis & Mable are still puppies – and they are so funny. Venus is quite a bit older, but tolerates them just fine…as long as they don’t get near her food bowl! I was glad I got that picture of Brown on the sink, usually when I see him he is crashed out. And I’m glad to report that Margaret is doing much better!
Here’s their picture – top row is Mable, Otis and Brown, bottom row is Venus and Margaret.

Sweet Edward
June 17, 2007
I found out this week that one of my sweet kitties, Edward, was killed last week by a dog. Edward was such a great cat. He was gorgeous – a beautiful white Persian cat with green eyes. And he had such a fantastic disposition. He was very friendly – stayed close to me & was ready at anytime to play or be petted. He wasn’t shy at all! I am really going to miss him.
Here are a couple of pictures:

The Kitty Crew
June 13, 2007
Today I got to hang out with several of my favorite cats. Two were missing but the rest of the gang was present and accounted for. The two that weren’t there are the “big personalities” in the group, so I sure missed them! Everyone was doing great though – keeping to their normal routine while their buddies were out and about.
Here’s a picture of the cats I visited with today.

Sassy Pants
June 13, 2007
I spent time yesterday with my sweet Schnauzer puppies and beautiful Weimaraners. I also visited with Sassy, a very energetic Min Pin. Sassy is such a doll! She’s got the most expressive face – and the biggest tongue I’ve seen for a 10lb dog! She’s really fast too. I use a tennisball launcher when we play and always get a laugh out of seeing her book it across the yard. She goes for it – full out running to get that ball. She might be a little obsessed.
Each time I see her we go for a long walk – not too long because she’s small – but it’s a lot of fun. She wears the cutest pink harness – she’s like a little princess. Here’s a picture:

Miss Margaret
June 12, 2007
Yesterday was a busy busy day! I was all over Fort Worth – east to west and north to south. It was so hot!! I’m a little nervous about what’s to come in July & August. I’ve already decided that once it hits 100 degrees I am not going to do walks – it wouldn’t be safe for those doggies!
One of the sweet cats I watch, Margaret, was feeling pretty bad yesterday. She wasn’t able to hold any food down and had to go the vet. Sweet kitty…I hope she’s feeling better today. Here’s her picture:

6 months!
June 10, 2007
It is almost 6 months to the day since I started my petsitting business and I absolutely love it! I’m having the best time and am so glad I made the decision to start my own business. I’ve met the nicest people & pets – it’s awesome!
Here’s a picture of my Milo. I’ll be posting more pictures of my pets & the pets I watch soon.
